Kay Contemporary Art is an invitation to experience pure joy, stunning color and elevated beauty as every work of art sings with authentic expression. Engage with a multitude of accomplished artists in a variety of media including: oil, acrylic, watercolor, bronze, mixed media, works of paper. Enjoy innovative origami-inspired metal sculptures by internationally-known sculptor Kevin Box, each piece cast in bronze, stainless steel and aluminum. Be wowed by painter Rick Stevens sharing his ethereal landscape and abstract paintings created masterfully in oil. The gallery is housed in one of the oldest buildings on historic Canyon Road, and its unique outdoor sculpture garden graciously transports you to another time and place. Kay Contemporary Art represents works by both local & nationwide artists including: Kate Rivers, Susan Pasquarelli, Nathanael Gray, Diana Stetson, Jessica Pisano, Kelly Cozart, Nancy Scheinman, Jamie Chase, Joel Greene & Sienna Van Slooten.
Our Team
Karla Kay Winterowd
Under the guidance of Karla Kay Winterowd, both Kay Contemporary Art and Winterowd Fine Art are two of the best contemporary and modern art galleries in the Southwest. In Karla’s leadership role, she is an advisor to both artists and collectors, drawing upon her significant experience as a longtime gallery owner, gallery director and art expert. Karla’s arts education both here and abroad established early on her knowledge and life-long passion. With a warm and genuine approach, Karla has assisted countless individuals in making joyous art choices for their home and businesses.
Jamie Garrison-Withrow
As Gallery Director, Jamie Garrison-Withrow is enormously knowledgeable about the art and artists in our collection. Combined with her engaging personality, Jamie has a nuanced ability to hear collectors’ needs and dreams and is very often able to bring them together with a most gratifying beautiful work of art. Jamie received her Master’s in Fine Art (MFA) from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Elizabeth Colland
Elizabeth is passionate about art and enjoys sharing stories about our artists and their works. As a graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design, her deep knowledge of painting and sculpture reflects both study and practice, allowing her to easily articulate the process of creation with art enthusiasts. In her spare time she enjoys exploring our walkable city, hiking our trails, and museums.
Palin Wiltshire
Palin assists our clients with a tuned-in, passionate approach. Her interest in creativity began as a child, and her continued enthusiasm for art and artists is truly infectious. For the past 15 years, she has been dedicated to sharing the creative process here on historic Canyon Road. Palin loves animals, especially rabbits and is dedicated to educating others about this unusual companion.
Suann Sinclair
Suann Sinclair’s poise and intelligence are apparent in all her interactions with collectors and visitors. With grace and patience, Suann helps our customers find the perfect work of art to suit their needs. As an accomplished painter, Suann brings an added understanding of the artist’s world, providing a unique insight to share. Suann has a BFA from University of Oklahoma, Norman.
Trent Edwards
Trent manages our Shipping Department here at Kay Contemporary Art and at our sister gallery Winterowd Fine Art. Trent is a painter and graduated with Honors from the Art Institute of Atlanta, Atlanta, GA. His work has been widely exhibited. We are honored to have Trent assist us in our Collections Management and Shipping Departments.
