Sheryl Zacharia
The intention of my art is not to tell a story, but more a reflection of my interaction with the visual world, and the deep emotional connection I have to it. As clay is from the earth, my pieces reflect my love and deference for nature and also my feelings of connection to past cultures. My pieces are influenced by the material itself and its endless opportunities. This is why the surfaces reveal the process and the process becomes the surface. Creating is my greatest joy and guides me in unexplainable ways.
